Vacation time has finally arrived. We started out with a quick lunch (and shake from Wojo’s) then headed towards Milwaukee. Charlie and I took a catnap and we FINALLY found the hotel (since our GPS did not recognize the address). NOTE: Courtyard by Marriot Hotel in Brookfield, WI does NOT know the value of customer service. At any rate, we got Charlie ready for the big game and hit up the local Aldi for some snacks, including peanuts and water which we brought into the game.
Tailgating was okay – pretty cold with the wind and Sir Charles was in NO mood for the festivities (he had missed his afternoon nap – egads!) Luckily, I put him in the carrier and he fell right asleep for the first few innings. Our seats were in Bernie’s Terrace aka the Nosebleeds. THANKFULLY, upon our arrival, we found that our two seats were the ONLY two in our row AND that there was some room to Jim’s left and there was exactly ONE seat in the row behind us (aka Charlie’s unpaid seat). For two tickets and a parking pass, we paid a total of $24. Can’t beat that! I believe Miller Park is the only remotely affordable Stadium left in America (except for the souvenirs). We didn’t eat anything and didn’t buy anything and we left during the 6th inning, but we had a great time and enjoyed bringing Charlie to another game. He actually cried when the crowd booed the ump and was excited to hold (and bite) the foam finger.
