The Fourth of July started out with a bang and I made a new speciality – Independence Day Pancakes (Blueberry pancakes, topped with fresh strawberries and lite Cool Whip).
We then ventured out to Jim’s boss’ house for the BBQ of the day. We had a good time (even in the rain) and then spent the rest of the evening relaxing at our own house with a dinner of Taco Bell (Who knew? Nothing’s open!) and the movie, Transformers – a perfect day – in my opinion.
With Jim’s boss’ wife, Racquel – he loved all the ladies in the house!
With Jim’s co-worker, Saheed’s brother. He was kind enough to “watch” Charlie while we took a house tour.
At the Evergreen Park Parade, my mom made a comment about how she was surprised that I hadn’t bought matching shirts for my new little family. Jim and I just looked at her. If you know me, then you know I couldn’t resist Old Navy shirts (We get them EVERY year). The men were in Navy and I(the sole woman) was in gray.

How funny is it that Dylan had a navy one and I had a gray one! Can’t resist $5 shirts from Old Navy.
