Charlie had his four month appointment today. As you can see, he was quite nervous before even the nurse came in…
Charlie belly laughed for the nurse while she was taking his measurements (although wasn’t laughing so much hen she pricked him twice!)
The Stats:
15 lbs, 1 oz. (50th %)
25 inches (75th %)
43.5 cm – head (65th %)
The doctor thinks he’s doing great and reaching/exceeding all of his developmental milestones. She brought up solid foods and said it was entirely up to us…any thoughts on when we should start?
Apart from Hep B, Charlie also got some of his first shots. Jim and I, after careful consideration, have decided to do a rolling immunization schedule. Besides, I could NEVER even imagine giving him 2 shots in each leg per visit! Forget it! I suggest just doing your research before you simply go by what the doctor says. Just my advice… Lastly, a silly video of Charlie while we were waiting for the doctor…

RE: Solid Foods
Watch for Charlie’s interest in food, while you eat. That’s what my doctor suggested. Malachi could have cared less, so I waited until 6 months, and it worked well for us! Also, remember once you start on foods, you have to add more to your diaper bag! lol

That is simply adorable! There is no better sound than a baby laughing! Actually…I’m looking forward to hearing her say Mommy too. I’m sure you can’t wait either. So cute!

I started Dylan on cereal after his 4 month appointment and he loved it! I did just cereal for a few weeks and then started the veggies.

I love this picture! I can’t believe he is in the 75 % for height. By the looks of his long fingers, he’s a basketball player in the making.
Solid Food…I think I started cereal at around 5 months and cheerios and such around 6 months. My boys seemed a bit happier and slept a bit better once they had solid food. I think it filled them up and gave them more of a satisfying feeling. I’m a crazy mom though. By one year, both of the boys were fully off formula and on table food only.
I want to punch anyone who would give Charlie a shot! He is just too sweet and adorable to prick.
